Thank you for your interest in the URJ Camp Institutes for Living Judaism. This past summer, Camp Swig and Camp Newman provided each of our 1500 campers throughout the Western United States and Canada with a fun-filled Jewish camping experience. The key to such success, we believe, lies in the quality of the staff that we hire.

Camp offers summer employment opportunities for post high school Jewish individuals who are dedicated to making a positive impact on the many youngsters who spend their summers with us. We are looking for people with enthusiasm and maturity, and who align themselves with our Reform Jewish ideas.

A variety of positions are available for Summer 2008 -- the most popular positions being bunk counselors and specialist. If you have an area of specialty (i.e. dance, art, sports, ropes course, lifeguard, etc.) and you are interested in working in that area, please indicate that information on your application. Please note that certain positions only have a limited number of spaces, so we can encourage you to return your application as quickly as possible.

In addition to the 3 references we ask you to list on the application, we will also be using public internet domains such as myspace.com and facebook.com. The value of these references provides us the opportunity and means to evaluate how you represent yourself and express yourself in a community.
